Just in (NOT) time for their European tour (thanks My45vinyl) comes the reissue of the debut 7" by the Lima (Peru) band P.U.S. La PLAGA URBANA SUBVERSIVA originally released this 7" in 2020 and for me it was the beginning of everything. Their sound was an explosive mix of native 80s hardcore like Ataque Frontal or Leuzemia with the darkest and most diabolical deathrock, and all of it with an absurd and raw distorted punk sound. Sick bass lines and a distorted guitar sound full of reverb are superimposed on drums that play the most extreme hardcore at times and all of this crowned with a demonic voice that gives a blackened punk note to the entire set. The band's staging is spectacular and striking, sadomasochistic and violent, especially this last concept, which is what the band transmits in every second of their songs; VIOLENCE. The influence of Devil Master on their sound could also be an easy reference to name, but here the basis of everything is born from punk, from the Peruvian underground rock of the 80s, having as clear examples their versions both on albums and live of bands like LEUZEMIA, GUERRILLA URBANA, NARCOSIS, etc...
