The guys here (almost the same line-up as the Cr(o)ws - without Chris Wollard) have delivered a timelessly good album, without question. 10 powerful songs with bittersweet, melancholic emopunk in the best Jawbreaker tradition, a little straighter, perhaps also calmer and unmistakably with the typical Gainesville flair. In contrast to the Cr(o)ws LP, the sound is less aggressive and rough, more driving and melodic. These are songs about and, above all, for life. Kelab (ex-As Friends Rust), who has now switched from bass to guitar and microphone, gives the songs the appropriate depth and experience with his slightly scratched, smoky voice. Few bands can cope with the lack of a songwriter like Chris Wollard, who at least took the opportunity to mix the album and play the strings on “Elimination Process” as well as Gray Goose. For me at least one of the best discs in this genre and highly recommended to all Jawbreaker fanatics up to and including the Alkaline Trio faction!
