Since autumn 2011, Human Abfall has consisted of people who have to live in inhospitable places like Stuttgart and Berlin - the cities of the despised, where no one really wants to hang dead over the neighbor's fence for even half an hour. Despite or precisely because of the irrefutable juggernaut of their habitat, all eyes and the public's interest are focused on what is currently, let's say, the most independent punk band in the world. The attractive sound structure consists of a noisy guitar sound with crunchy, wave-oriented bass lines and a purposeful, minimalist, rattling drum beat. The music of the group Human waste expresses itself in a technically heavy rhythm and is more dystopian mood painting than simply a haunting melody. In the texts, feelings, everyday objects and conditions are reflected and reduced to a haunting minimum. Don't be concerned - because human waste has long since passed this stage. The singer with a strangely dark expression packs the unwieldy post-punk (not unlike Grauzone or camping sex) into early 80s German punk (à la Mittagspause and SYPH) with worn-out, ambiguous lyrics and, despite furious, manically repeated Dada slogans, always manages to give the listener his own to elicit connections to personal realities. Individually repulsive, Kafkaesque narrative interwoven with the existentialist turmoil of modern life in the battle zone of digital capitalism is again and again boiled down to the essentials. From piece to piece of the record, the claustrophobic impression arises that Kurt Schwitters has applied his scissors to the literary works of Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus and Gabriel Marcel in order to create the collage of the recurring text modules with hammer and nail to pin the spirit of the times. A very unique type of narrative emerges, neither literary nor musical - more like arm wrestling against the wall. You can feel the city, the concrete, the dirt. You feel the part of society that no one likes to talk about. Perhaps one could briefly say: What Dürrenmatt is to literature, Human Waste is to music. In keeping with the music, the artwork consists of bound linen refined by letterpress printing. Everything is 100% handmade
