CCP Records is a new collective reviving short-lived 2019 organisation, the Contemporary Communists of Punk. Now operating as a DIY record label with a view to international collaboration, CCPR begins its output with a split 7” between two underground powers: Milano punk agitators I PENTITI, and Sydney “anti-hardcore” band HDPE. This release meets both groups between full-length releases, tasked with the mission of writing and recording two songs in a day for a split 7” to launch the Milano and Sydney chapters of CCPR.

Titled "Il Mondo Diviso / Divided World", both sides see these bands let out their grievances with the global state of play: I PENTITI taking to task anything from the European Union to the hegemonic centres of international punk, while HDPE turn their attention to the crossing of picket lines and the upsides of taking matters into your own hands. While their sounds differ -- I PENTITI chumming the edges of Italian hardcore history with a plodding aggression, HDPE running patchwork comedy over their death march rhythms -- their approach to songwriting is united via a postmodernist satirical turn, and a general lack of respect for the powers that be. Long live the CCP International!
