Four new songs from North Carolina's greatest, and those who have heard it are already pronouncing it the band's strongest material since Daydreamnation, if not The Wonderful and Frightening World. Double Negative's first recording with new vocalist Cameron Craig (formerly of Logic Problem) finds them revisiting the blistering tempos of their debut, but infused with the acid-drenched riffs they've been writing for the past several years. Note: this record is expensive, but the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, including a custom gatefold jacket with spot gloss finish (that will complete your puzzle whether you have the first or second pressing of Vols I and II) as well as a hand-screened poster, lyric sheet, and download card. No color vinyl on this one, but the first 100 mail-order copies all feature hand-stamped dust sleeves. These are now sold out, sorry!
