Comparisons to World Burns to Death are obvious, but Butcher shows a marked progression. The riffs have deeper levels of layering and melodic complexity and the songs themselves move at a faster tempo. It's shocking how much energy and melody the band fits into a two minute punk song.
Some of this is no doubt due to the addition of Souichi Hisatake (Forward, Gudon) playing lead guitar.
