Acrylics change the hardcore game with their sound while everybody else is trying to sound the same. There is a fun sound brewing in the bay area right now and Acrylics are at the forefront of that! I couldn't be more proud and excited to release this S/T EP on a one-sided 12". Previously released on cassette on Discontinuous Innovation in a run of 150 that were gone in a blink. We've now had it remastered for vinyl by the great Will Killingsworth and put it on a one sided 12". Very proud of this one!

Our take: This very limited cassette tape gets pressed to a one-sided, 33RPM 12", and it's easy to see why they wanted to preserve this thing on a more permanent format... it's a total ripper! Acrylics sit in this perfect sweet spot for me... faster and harder than most straightforward punk bands, catchier than most hardcore bands, and with a tinge of weirdness in the guitar harmonies and criss-crossing melodies. They sort of sound like a tougher version of Shitty Limits playing songs inspired by the first two Rudimentary Peni EPs. These songs are short and snappy but memorable and exploding with energy at every second. I mean, at the end of the day this is just straight up punk rock, but it's just perfectly executed... exactly what I want to hear. Highest possible recommendation!
